Vacationing in Taiwan Food Frenzy Epi 18. Poached Chicken soaked in cooking wine.
We went to Din Tai Fung in Taipei and had an assortment of dishes, including the infamous steamed pork buns. The buns in Taipei are even better than the ones we had in the California branch. There is actually a glass wall where you can see about a dozen chefs in white uniforms rolling out the dough and stuffing the pork buns. The poached chicken was one of our appetizers. Although I didn’t care too much for the alcohol taste, the chicken was cooked to perfection and had that soft, tender, and juicy taste and texture of perfectly poached chicken.
