Vacationing in Taiwan Food Frenzy Epi 19. Spicy Mapo Doufu Braised Beef Noodle Soup. This would be the first braised beef noodle soup with a spicy mapo doufu infused soup base I’ve ever encountered. Can’t compare it to others alike but it was quite good. I love soups that are spicy and beefy with a subtle hint of sweetness (most likely from throwing scallions or leeks into the broth). Seeings how my chinese and sense of location are both terrible, I couldn’t possibly tell you where to get said item. But I do know we got this bowl of noodles for free in one of those buy one get one free deals. And what Asians don’t like a bargain and a good bowl of noodle soup?
