Vacationing in Shanghai Part 9. Shuyuan Village.

So we went to one of Rob’s parents’ favorite restaurant, Shuyuan Village. The area is more like a village resort where you can rent rooms and eat food that has been grown and raised at the village. Of course they use the freshest ingredients free from chemicals and any preservative waxes because everything is grown on spot.

Golden fried eggplant with ground pork inside.

Sauted snowpeas with baby corn.

Sauteed Chinese mushrooms with sweet smoked pork belly. This dish was so addicting I wonder if they put some kind of illegal drug in it (jk!) because I couldn’t stop eating it!

Vegetable fried rice. So yummy. =]

Vegetable and egg soup.

Part of the village. Really good for a walk but watch out for the mosquitoes!

If you walk through the village, you can see different vegetable crops and a large stream running through the village with live fish that they use in their many dishes.

Growing peaches!
