Food Adventuring in the City with Friends. Mille-Feuille Bakery Cafe.
So if you guys haven’t already figured out, I’ve succumbed to the macaroon craze and currently sacarficing my bank account to sample these delicable sweets where ever I am. My friends and I found Mille-feuille Bakery Cafe around the NYU area and decided to stop from some sweets and refreshments. The place was small and nothing fancy. It did have a certain charm to it with its display of macaroons and delicious looking croissants with the window just luring new customers to come in. I got a box of 8 for $17.80. The flavors included 2 pistachio, 1 rose, 1 vanilla, 1 chocolate, 1 lavender 1 coconut, and 1 salted caramel. Unfortunately they weren’t the best macaroons I’ve ever had, but I still enjoyed them. The shells were slightly lumpy and weren’t perfectly crisp, probably due to the way they were displayed (out in the open air). Overall rating the macaroons? 5.5/10 I think I really have to go back to try the croissants and mille-feuille cake.
